Photos and Media Screen Reference
Understand the gallery, full-screen viewer, batch capture flow, and QR scanning utility used across field evidence work.
Before you start
- You need the supporting evidence and scan tools around inspections and defects.
Expected outcome
You can choose the right photo or scan surface for the task instead of overloading the main inspection screen.
Screen family
| Screen | What it does |
|---|---|
| Photo Gallery | Standalone grid with category filter, sort, full-screen annotate, multi-select share/delete. |
| Photo Viewer | Zoomable full-screen image review. |
| Batch Photo | Rapid camera capture with removable thumbnails and the limit supplied by the invoking workflow. If that callback expires after a restart or deep link, the app reports that it cannot safely return the selection. |
| QR Scanner | Asset-number or QR resolution and safe return into the invoking flow. |
Tested behaviors
- Photo annotation in gallery flows.
- Photo viewer navigation and zoom.
- Batch photo capture.
- QR scanner routing.
Captured evidence is copied into app-controlled storage before upload. A local URI is not proof that the server has the photo: use Sync Status to distinguish Pending, Failed, Blocked, Conflict, and all-synced states. Gallery sharing or deletion affects the selected gallery items; it is not a substitute for checking the owning inspection or defect record.
Signatures and Certificates Screen Reference
Understand signature capture, completion flow, certificate review, zoom, download/share behavior, and quote follow-up.
Drafts and Comparison Screen Reference
Understand local draft recovery and two-inspection comparison without confusing them for live execution screens.
