Engineer quickstart
Use the app around the visit, not after it.
Deucalion is designed for field work as it happens. Open the site in context, update the inspection while you are on the visit, and review the certificate before you leave the job.
Start from Dashboard
- Open the app and use Dashboard as your first stop for upcoming work, overdue work, recent activity, and sync awareness.
- If you already know the site, move into Sites to review context before starting the visit.
- If the inspection is already assigned, you can usually open it from Dashboard or the Inspections tab without searching through the whole estate.
Start here each day to understand route pressure and sync state.
Use the inspection list when you need to jump directly into the active visit queue.
Review context before you start the visit
- Open the site to review building details, contacts, systems, and previous history.
- Read any briefing or notes that will help you arrive prepared, especially where access or previous issues matter.
- Confirm you are opening the correct inspection type and service line before you start recording results.
Complete the visit in the app
- Work through the inspection tabs while you are on site, not from memory later.
- Update asset state, checklist results, and defects together so the record stays internally consistent.
- Add evidence when it is easiest to capture, especially for meaningful failures or advisories.
- Finish with signatures and review the certificate before sharing it or leaving site.
Working with weak signal
Deucalion is offline-aware. If signal drops on site, keep working in the app and check sync state once you have connectivity again.
Where to go next
- Use Sites and Briefings for visit context.
- Use Running inspections when you need the detailed field workflow.
- Use Offline, sync, search, and settings when the app is behaving differently from what you expect.
Next steps
Move deeper into the part of the workflow you need on the day.
