Engineer Quickstart

Open your day, find the right site, start the visit, and understand where to get help on the move.

Before you start

  • You have already signed in at least once on the device.
  • The office team has assigned you to the correct workspace and scheduled work.
  • You know which site or service type you are travelling to first.

Expected outcome

You can open your route, enter the right site and inspection context, and understand what to do if sync or feature visibility looks wrong.

Open your day from the dashboard

  1. Start from the dashboard so you can see upcoming work, overdue work, recent activity, and sync state together.
  2. Confirm the first stop and any visible sync warnings before you leave the yard or walk into the plant room.
Deucalion engineer dashboard
The dashboard is the fastest way to confirm what you are doing next and whether local work is still waiting to sync.

Enter the right site context before starting

  1. Open the site and read the briefing, notes, and recent history before starting the visit.
  2. Confirm you are in the correct industry and system context if the site supports multiple service types.

Run the visit inside the app

  1. Start the inspection from the assigned work or site context.
  2. Keep checklist results, defects, visit notes, and evidence inside Deucalion instead of splitting them across other tools.
  3. If you lose signal, continue in the app and review sync status later when connectivity returns.

Use help and docs deliberately

  1. Open Help from your profile when you need support contacts or the public documentation hub.
  2. Use the docs hub for full workflows and troubleshooting, not only FAQ-style answers.

Troubleshooting

ProblemWhat to check
The wrong work shows firstConfirm you are in the right workspace and refresh the day run after connectivity returns.
You cannot tell whether the office has your latest workCheck sync state rather than assuming the upload completed silently.
The feature you expect is missingTreat it first as a workspace access or availability question, not automatically as a device failure.

Reference surfaces

  1. Use the Engineer Screen Index when you need the full mobile screen atlas rather than the onboarding path.
  2. Jump into Dashboard, Inspections List and Calendar, and Sync Status for the main day-run controls.
  3. Use the Engineer Screen Interaction Matrix to trace how one mobile screen hands work to the next.
