PDS and Specialist Tools Screen Reference
Understand the guided PDS wizard, PDS system config, flow-rate measurement, and drop-test tools used during specialist visits.
Before you start
- The visit requires specialist pressure-differential or fire-damper measurements.
Expected outcome
You can pick the correct specialist tool and know what each one saves back into the wider visit context.
Screen family
| Screen | What it does |
|---|---|
| Guided PDS Wizard | Five steps: standard, door configuration, pressure, door force, and result review. It returns the result to the invoking inspection; an expired callback asks you to restart. |
| PDS Wizard | Saves a full server session with standard selection, floors or zones, pressure readings, door-force tests, validation, and summary. |
| PDS System Config | Saves whether tests use commissioning design values or standard minimums, with a construction-year suggestion and custom-standard option. |
| Flow Rate Measurement | Requires all nine velocity readings, calculates the result, warns on high variation, and accepts optional temperature and pressure context. |
| Drop Test | Supports up to five labelled photos. Timed damper types require a stopped closure timer; manual assistance or an ineffective seal forces Fail. Network failures queue the result and durable photo evidence for sync. |
Notes
- Use these tools only from the matching specialist inspection context. A non-applicable damper type is sent back to checklist condition capture rather than Drop Test.
