Engineer Reference
Dashboard Screen Reference
Understand the engineer dashboard’s day-run cards, quick launches, sync cues, commercial shortcuts, and announcement actions.
Before you start
- You want the main field triage surface rather than one inspection screen.
Expected outcome
You can use the dashboard as the starting point for route planning, inspection launch, scan, search, drafts, AI, and commercial follow-up.
Entry points and exits
| Entry | Exit |
|---|---|
| Dashboard tab after sign-in. | ScheduleInspection, Inspection, WorkOrderDetail, QRScanner, Search, AnalyticsDashboard, DraftManager, AIConversations, Subscription, AddSite, InspectionsTab, SitesTab. |
Main regions
- Quick-start and scan actions.
- Workspace and announcement cards.
- Today’s run and upcoming inspections.
- Asset health, fire damper summary, defect aging, recent activity, and sync cues.
Side effects and handoffs
- Announcement actions can open the admin portal or external links.
- Dashboard is a launch surface, not the owner of inspection or work-order data.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | What to check |
|---|---|
| The wrong job appears first | Re-check workspace and sync state before assuming the route ordering is wrong. |
| A shortcut is missing | Confirm feature or subscription availability. |
